Today was sort of a break day. We left the hotel at 11 and went to an all Ford show and picnic in Wahoo, Nebraska. It was rainy this morning but cleared a little for the show. The picnic was more like a banquet and was held inside. This was hosted by the Cornhuskers Regional Group and like any good regional group, ice cream was served. They also had a few games set up for people to play. Anyway we had some good food and V8 camaraderie. Some of the guys fiddled with a few little things on their car. Jim M is having trouble with his windshield wiper and thinks it is the motor. I have a suspicion the cable is not adjusted properly not letting the valve open completely. One way or the other we will find out when he gets it out.
From there we went 30 miles or so to our hotels in Lincoln. Tomorrow we will tour Speedway Motors here.
I did some maintenance to the car seeing as the sun was out. Oil and water are ok. Added a little to the transmission and brake fluid to the master cylinder. Tightened down the base bolts of the carburetor and got it to idle a bit better. There was a hose next to the hotel but no handle on the faucet. Nothing a pair of vice grips could not take care of so I got the car washed.
While doing that I met some people from the Saratoga area of New York asking about Speedway. I invited them to our tour but they were not interested. Go figure. Bet we see them there anyway.

Frank, you will really like Speedway Motors Museum. We stopped there on our first big tour to Auburn. Say "HI" to Jim Snyder for me. He's a great guy. Tom Johnston
